Story:

RK (Jagapathi Babu) owns a business empire. He wants his son Harsha (Mahesh Babu) to take over the operations but Harsha has other plans – serving people. Harsha likes Charusheela (Shruti), a post graduate student studying Rural Development, and joins her college to study the course. Both fall in love. But when Charusheela comes to know that Harsha is son of RK, she stops seeing him. Harsha asks her for the reason, she tells him about her Devarakota, a small village in Uttarandhra. And the rest of the story continues with a lot of emotions and twists. Watch how Mahesh carried it on the silver screen.

Performances:

Mahesh Babu: One cannot imagine any other actor as Harsha. Mahesh gets into the skin of the character and takes every scene to another level with his spellbinding performance. There are different shades to this character and Mahesh does justice in every aspect. His handsome looks and charismatic styling adds value to the character. Watch out for his performance in the Big Screens.

Shruti Haasan: Shruti got an author backed role. She is extremely good in emotional scenes. She played a good role. Her Gorgeous looks in CHarusheela Song and the chemistry between Mahesh and Sruthi is good.

Others: Jagapathi Babu as Mahesh’s Father is top notch. His Charming looks made this character to another level. The Royality of the character came by Jagapathi Babu. Rajendra Prasad is natural in a very important role. Vennela Kishore and Ali tried to add some fun to the proceedings. Sampath Raj and other villains are aptly cast.

Technical Excellence:

Direction: Koratala Siva has a knack of telling old stories in an interesting way. He is very good at writing emotional as well as hero elevation scenes. There are so many scenes that have his mark on them and he is surely a director to watch out for. Koratala Siva’s dialogs are another asset to this film.

Music: Devi Sri Prasad’s songs are in perfect sync with the film. Background score is pretty impressive too.

Others: Top notch work from the cinematographer. Madhie added Mahesh to look at the best. The Closeup shots of Mahesh was done extremely well by Madhie.

Analysis:

Srimanthudu has a Strong storyline  with commercial elements. The film is about knowing your roots and giving back to the society. Kudos to Koratala Siva for making a commercial film with this concept.

Action episodes are cleverly placed in the film. The Movie is a rollercoaster ride of emotions and action. Harsha character appears very emotional in the family scenes and extremely heroic when he meets the bad guys. Siva struck a right balance between these shades and used it effectively reach to all sections of audience.

Mahesh Babu’s majestic performance and the dialogues will keep you hooked until the end. It is a perfect blend of commercial elements and meaningful content. Srimanthudu will not only please Mahesh fans but also win the hearts of movie lovers.

i-Say: Mahesh Carried the Movie On his Shoulders.
